Training for clinicians and supervisors have focused on the impact these interactions have on citizens and their exposure to trauma. This training will focus on addressing the law enforcement officers’ experiences in traumatic situations, and how their perspectives impact the encounters they have with citizens. The training will also explore the relationship between the impact of vicarious trauma for both law enforcement officers and citizens. Competencies for working with law enforcement officers, in order to demonstrate best practices for supervisors and counselors will also be addressed.
